Sarah Dinkelacker

Sarah Dinkelacker is artist and educator based in Brooklyn, New York. Sarah is a museum educator at the Whitney Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Brooklyn Museum, where she leads school and family programs. She facilitates the MoMA Art Lab, an interactive gateway to the collection, which invites kids and adults to experiment, play, and create as they make connections between their own creative experiences and the modern and contemporary art on view. Previously, Sarah served as an Education Fellow in the Brooklyn Museum’s acclaimed Museum Education Fellowship Program, where she designed guided gallery visits for K-12 school groups, facilitated Hands-On Art for Target First Saturdays, and taught art classes as part of the Gallery Studio Program. She first cultivated an interest in museum education and visitor engagement as an Education Assistant at the Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College, where she received a B.S in Painting in 2014. Sarah has exhibited throughout New York and privately tutors emerging painters. Outside of museums, Sarah is a 200 hr certified yoga instructor—a practice which imbues her teaching with mindfulness. She is the illustrator of the book La Tunca.
